Special project: garden in front of the entrance to the Russian state library
The Garden on the steps of the newly renovated entrance group of the RSL is the reconstruction of the special “Flower Jam” project back of 2017. That project, entitled “Sugarcovered”, was created by the first Chairman of the international jury of the “Flower Jam” Competition by the renowned British landscape designer Matthew Childs.

“Flower Jam” special project appeared at Manezhnaya square: the VDNKH map made of chrysanthemums
At Manezhnaya Square (as part of the “Flower Jam” festival) a garden in the form of a giant map of the VDNH made of chrysanthemums has blossomed. The project dedicated to the anniversary (which is celebrated this year) of the main exhibition of the country has become the largest show garden in the history of the festival: almost 4.000 bush chrysanthemums are planted on an area of more than 1.000 square meters.

In four neighborhoods of Moscow the parks appeared, created as part of the “Flower jam” fest
These are the first special projects of "Flower Jam", which were originally created as permanent. The authors of four all-season parks in different areas of Moscow were leading landscape designers from the UK, France, and Sweden.

Moscow Summer gardens open june 20th
The main events of the international "Flower Jam" 2019 Festival will be held in the Russian capital from August 23rd to September 8th. But the festival starts on June 20th. On this very day, 42 exhibition gardens of the finalists of the “Flower Jam” 2019 competition will open at venues throughout Moscow.

The "Flower Jam" International Landscape Conference is over. Those were the three incredible days that flew by in one breath. It’s been three days of heated discussions, amazingly interesting speeches and meetings with the most outstanding professionals from Russia, Sweden, Great Britain, Italy and the Netherlands.

Already on the first day of the conference it became clear that the event had aroused great interest and got a live feedback from the professional community. In order to take part in the event, visitors came from St. Petersburg and Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod and Samara, Obninsk, London, Stockholm, Nice.
Stage 1 - application and selection of finalists
Participants submit applications, which include information about the participant, a portfolio of relevant projects and a sketch of the idea of the competition project.
The expert committee selects the finalists of the competition.
Finalization of projects of the competition finalists together with the expert mentors.
Stage 2 - development of the exhibition gardens implementation documents
The organizing committee of the competition distributes the finalist projects by locations.
Finalists of the competition develop documentation for the subsequent implementation of the projects presented at the 1st stage.
Stage 3 - implementation of exhibition gardens and selection of the best projects
The public areas in all Moscow districts will be decorated with implemented competition works - gardens, landscape compositions and flower beds that will form places of attraction and relaxation, green oases for city dwellers and tourists.
The best completed projects will be determined by a jury vote. The results of the competition and the names of the winners will be announced during the "Flower Jam" festival of urban landscape design in early September.

Gardens are implemented in public spaces of Moscow: in the streets, squares, pedestrian areas, boulevards and parks.
Projects create points of attraction for citizens, becoming places of rest.
In addition to the aesthetic function, the projects will also perform an ecological task: they will attract insects to the city center, as it happened during the previous years’ competitions, which helped a lot to maintain ecological balance.
Nomination 2 - Professional
«MEDIUM EXHIBITION GARDEN (100-200 SQUARE METERS)»
Gardens are implemented in public spaces of Moscow: in the streets, squares, pedestrian areas, boulevards and parks.
Projects create points of attraction for citizens, becoming places of rest.
In addition to the aesthetic function, the projects will also perform an ecological task: they will attract insects to the city center, as it happened during the previous years’ competitions, which helped a lot to maintain ecological balance.
Nomination 3 - Professional
«Small Exhibition Garden (50-100 square meters)»
Gardens are implemented in public spaces of Moscow: in the streets, squares, pedestrian areas, boulevards and parks.
Projects create points of attraction for citizens, becoming places of rest.
In addition to the aesthetic function, the projects will also perform an ecological task: they will attract insects to the city center, as it happened during the previous years’ competitions, which helped a lot to maintain ecological balance.
Nomination 4 - Professional
«LANDSCAPE DESIGN FOR SOCIAL AREAS (from 70 SQUARE METERS)»
Projects are not only a place of rest and are not limited to aesthetic and ecological functions, they should be additionally fully functional corresponding to the location (“therapeutic”, sensory gardens, creative playground spaces, etc.).
Nomination 5 - Student
«THE COMPETITION OF STUDENT PROJECT (50-70 SQUARE METERS)»
This nomination was established in order to attract creative young people to discussions of new visions of Moscow as well as urgent issues of modern urban landscape design.
